  • Requires no sealing or priming
  • Chemical resistant

  • Does not rot or decay

Q. In what application does X-CELWOOD perform best?

A. X-CELWOOD is an excellent wood substitute for MDO, plywood, and lumber in the following applications (particularly where moisture is a problem):

  • Substrate for signs and lamination
  • Fabrication for exhibits and POP displays
  • Trim, soffits and fascia boards
  • Furniture and cabinets
  • Door panels and bay windows
  • Moldings and door jams

Q. How does moisture affect X-CELWOOD?

A. X-CELWOOD’s closed-cell structure makes it impervious to moisture that causes swelling, rot and delamination in lumber, veneer, composite and paper products.

Q. Is priming or any kind of surface preparation required with X-CELWOOD?

A. None, other than cleaning before painting, gluing or laminating.

Q. Are any special tools required when working with X-CELWOOD?

A. NO!

Q. Can X-CELWOOD be easily glued?

A. Yes, Epoxy or PVC glues work best.

Q. Is X-CELWOOD fire rated?

A. Yes, it conforms to UL94 VO, UL94 5V and UL48.

Q. Is X-CELWOOD environmentally safe?

A. Yes, it contains no lead or heavy metals, and is recyclable.
